My 500-hour yoga teacher training is through the Anusara School of Hatha Yoga. This approach emphasizes heart-opening practices, precise alignment, and themes of inner growth. By working mindfully toward alignment, practitioners cultivate optimal physical health while fostering a positive and resilient outlook on life. My classes integrate breathwork, mindful movement, and brief meditation practices.
What I value most about Anusara yoga is its focus on awareness rather than perfection. Students are encouraged to understand where their bodies are in each pose as a way to support both physical well-being and mental clarity.
In addition to teaching yoga, I am a science teacher and an outdoor enthusiast. I am trained in outdoor mindfulness and look forward to offering outdoor experiences to our community in the spring.
